Our mission statement at Reach Out Church is to “Win the lost, train them up, and send them out.’ While we do have many ministries which focus internally for the edification of Christ’s body, our purpose in doing so is that we can then effectively share the Gospel of Christ in our local communities, our country, and all around the world. Reach Out Church is a body of believers with one objective in mind, to share the hope, healing, and wholeness that God offers through Christ. Under the Ministries menu above, you will find more information about ministries for the building of our Church’s saints.

Reach Out Church is a mission minded church. We believe God has not only called us to minister to those in our local community, but to all people around the world. Our church regularly sponsors and sends short-term mission teams throughout the year, and also supports many long-term missions. If you are interested in serving in any of our church’s missions, or if you would like more information about any of these missions, call us at (845) 229-6080 or send an email to reachout@reachoutchurch.com Below you can find information on the missions we facilitate and support.

Short-term Missions

nysumNew York School of Urban Ministry (NYSUM)

The New York School of Urban Ministry is based out of New York City and ministers to the homeless and less fortunate. Every year, Reach Out Church will send a small team to work with NYSUM in the month of February. This street ministry is focused on sharing the love of Christ though providing practical life necessities for homeless individuals throughout New York City. NYSUM assists the homeless in many ways – whether it’s serving soup in a shelter, providing blankets and warm clothing to those on the streets, or praying for these individuals in need. No matter what circumstances someone may find themselves in, there is always hope to be found in the Gospel of Christ! You can find more information on NYSUM’s webpage.

haitiMissions to Haiti

Reach Out Church sends a team to minister and share the gospel in the country of Haiti every summer. This ministry was initiated by our church members Roberto & Rose Bonheur. These short-term missions to Haiti are focused in assisting an orphanage outside the capital city of Port-au-Prince, as well as encouraging all believers throughout churches in the local area. Roberto and Rose are also qualified to help out medically in places that provide nursing and health care, and have been a tremendous blessing to those with medical needs.

DRmissionsMissions to the Dominican Republic

Reach Out Church sends a team to minister and share the gospel in the Dominican Republic in the summertime. These mission trips are focused on ministering in the local churches, orphanages, and public parks throughout the region. There is a network of churches Reach Out Church is connected to through Pastor Gail Perecky, who is our primary contact in the Dominican Republic. Our teams minister with those churches through music, giving out toys in the orphanage, sharing testimonies, and also in providing food and clothing for the less fortunate.
